I knew I would join the corporate world! However, I didn't know the journey I would take nor that I would go back to grad school to do my MBA.

The ability to understand how groups of people function is useful for any job. In my career, we work with businesses to evaluate and improve their operations. This involves understanding how organizations function, what motivates people across seniority levels, how proposed changes may impact people, etc. Also, sociology/anthropology gives me an appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. I love to travel and see how others live and approach life. Lastly, sociology gives me a greater awareness of the social constructs that exist within our everyday life. It makes me appreciative of the opportunities I have been given but also inspires me to give back and help lift up others.
Too many! Taking Anthropology 101 and realizing this is what I should be majoring in. Going to Washington DC and lobbying with Professor Adler. Working as a research assistant for Dr. Li for two years.
Take the opportunity to explore your interests and have fun! If you work hard and lean into your experiences/opportunities, it will work out post-graduation.
Sociology department is the best!
